TWO OF A KIND

For the 2020 Valentine's Day campaign, she focused on bonds with the people who are always there to have our backs, the ones who just get you. Friends are the family we choose, and true friends empower us in ways we could never imagine. The team was able to increase August & June's revenue for the month by about 60% through the campaign. 

Campaign Breakdown 

  • An editorial photoshoot with two models to represent friendship and showcase the featured products. 

  • We created six pre-boxed gift sets with a few of the most popular pieces from the Valentine's Day collection at a lower price point.

  • The hero images on the homepage were updated with the editorial content and linked directly to a dedicated landing page featuring the new images, gift sets, and the Valentine’s Day collection.

  • Launched a 3-part email marketing campaign to announce the Valentine’s Day collection, gift sets, and the “Refer a Friend” promotion.

  • Paid ads were launched on Instagram and Facebook highlighting the gift sets and the Valentine’s Day collection.

  • During the campaign, we launched a “Refer a Friend” promotion on @ShopAugustJune. When a customer referred a friend, we offered 15% off their first order. When they made their purchase, we offered 15% off to the referrer as a thank you. It encouraged our existing customers to talk about August & June to their loved ones, which was an effective marketing tool. We used a plug-in in Shopify to streamline this process.

MOTHER'S DAY

Staying connected to those you love, but cannot physically be with, became a lofty task this past year. During isolation times, gift cards came to the rescue! For Mother's Day, we launched the August & June e-gift card as a way to put a smile on her face.

Campaign Breakdown 

  • The hero images on the homepage were updated with gift card content and linked directly to a dedicated landing page featuring the gift card product page.

  • Launched a 3-part email marketing campaign to announce the Mother's Day Edit.

  • Using a third-party app, we gave customers the option to choose between three designs. This feature allowed them to add their own message and preview the recipient's animated email. To go a step further, we gave customers the opportunity to write a personalized note with any purchase. This was done by adding a “Add a personalized message” option to the cart page.
